Galatea is a love letter to the process of creation, and an exploration of an artist's relationship to their work.
Why do people draw?
Why do they tell stories?
Why do people make art even if barely anyone's there to see it?
Through the eyes of a 12 year-old who just started drawing, we follow their journey into art. Explore the relationship between the art and the artist, the OC and their creators, and see how they both grow and change over the years.

i just finished playing and it's really funny because i've been re-working on my childhood ocs and the journey is literally like this. the game hits and it's beautiful to see how galatea keeps growing with their creator. i'm happy for both of them, and i'm thankful for this game!! it was really beautiful (i LOVED the art direction and the changing appearance minigame.... very fun..)

This games concept and description immediately intrigued me as someone who has been both creative and online my whole life, and while very short (despite the description saying 40 minutes I was done in 10 if not less, despite clicking through all the dress-up options) I found it well worth the time to play.
I can tell a lot of heart and love was put into this game and it really does show that it is a love letter to creation. It felt extremely true to life and while following Galateas journey I was constantly reminded of similar evolutions in my own OCs and those I've followed online. The animated sprites and the changes in the UI/background really elevate the otherwise simple game. I'd recommend for anyone with a creative past and 10 minutes to spare to take the time to check this out. Excited to see what this team puts out in the future, I'll definitely be giving you a follow.

Played this fresh out of the oven and I am typing this with tears in my eyes.
This was amazing and has made me very emotional to say the least! It has said so much about the MC's life and it's a very relatable one, both in terms of just general happenings and just the process of changing and adjusting their OC as they go.
Definitely spoke with me deeply. Like I knew it was gonna be good the moment I knew the premise but oh wow I did not expect it to be THAT good.
